Year of Toll Sailing Into the New Year

Dear Friends, Volunteers, Colleagues and Philanthropists:

With the end of 2012 quickly approaching, we are pause to give thanks for a time of family and friends, a time of reflection and thanks, a time of joy and peace. May we all come through safe and with honor!

Here’s to a year of toll-a year of straggle and peril, and a long step forward towards victory, the end of some chapter and the beginning of others in our lives. While life has continued as normal for many of us in this community and around the world, some of our friends, neighbors, or coworkers have been hit with unexpected tragedies or unspeakably painful situations. We pause to pray for those who left us and pray for their families comfort.

Though we are understaffed and underfunded UDiON Foundation has done everything within our means to save children’s from child labor or child that affected by violent crime. We wanted to take a few minutes to extend our appreciation to each of you for your hard work, dedication and contributions to UDiON, and to highlight some of our key accomplishments, thanks to your efforts. As we’ve said before, you help “make a difference in people lives”. We are extremely proud of the work you do as a member of the UDiON family.

Despite a tough overall economic landscape and an extremely challenging financial market, we are pleased to report that we are already working on our future projects for 2013, we will distribute and continue to support child stomach warm tablets at-least to 100 thousands children’s. we are in processes of opening new center in Chittagong (Halisahar) to tackle young women and children’s who has been abused, raped and victim of child labor, center will focus on basic education (reading and writing) sewing and tailoring and basic computer training. UDiON Chief Executive Officer Radwan Chowdhury will be speaking in Bangkok, Thailand about education and poverty and how UDiON addressing those issues in Bangladesh, in addition Mr. Chowdhury also talk about corporate ethics on January 30^th and 31^st, 2013 with team of UDiON volunteers in addition team will visit and implement programs in correlation with local organization in India and in Pakistan.

We all know that the holiday season is a time to reflect back and also to give back, which is something UDiON has been known for over the years. From collecting boxes of food to sponsoring children in need with your helping hands they might not otherwise receive, you should all be proud of the impact you have on those less fortunate in our communities.

Please accept our small gift of gratitude and let it serve as a reminder that we truly appreciate your support. You are blessing to the UDiON and on behalf of our volunteers, board of directors, staff and entire UDiON family we wish you a blessed holiday as well as a beautiful start to your New Year!! You can be proud of the work we do here at UDiON. We know we are.

Yes, our road is longer—but we travel it together. We don’t turn back. We leave no one behind. We pull each other up. That is the value we share as an UDiON Family. We believe we are all in it together is far better philosophy than you on your own.

The best way we can join hands to serve our community, and fulfill our moral obligation and civic duty to help build a better nation, is to champion an end to child labor, child trafficking and total eradication of poverty so that ALL children’s can have an equal opportunity to attain their Dream. At the end of this era, is a better, more abundant world for all.
